In 1975, Jacques Fred Petrus and Mauro Malavasi created one of Italy's most prolific record labels, "Goody Music Productions."
GMP is still active today and continues to publish some of the most popular labels in Italy. The music genres range from Dance, Disco, and House to Hip Hop, Electro, and Nu Jazz. Some legendary artists and DJs under this umbrella are House Pioneers, Frankie Knuckles, and Joey Negro.
Macho's hit "I'm a Man" was a remake from the Spencer Davis Group’s 1967 hit and was written by Steve Winwood.
1978s "I'm a Man" featured vocals by Italian singer Marzio Vincenti, lasted a whopping 18 minutes and was the only US hit they had but, made it to the Top 10 of the Billboard Dance chart.
In 1980 the Goody Music Orchestra played all the tracks off the Album "Macho II - Roll."
Some call Macho II a "Rosco" album, short for rock disco. It was also composed, arranged and conducted by legendary producer Celso Valli.
