Although Lime teeters on the edge of what sounds like Italo Disco sometimes they are actually a Disco band from Montreal, Quebec in Canada. The group is composed of married couple Denis and Denyse LePage.
1979 was the year Denis Lepage released "The Break" under the alias Kat Mandu. It made it to #3 on the Billboard Disco Chart.
The Lepage’s had a number of side studio projects for big names such as Prelude Records.
Pete Bellote and Sylvester Levay wrote and arranged the album. In 1981 the global hit song and album "Hit N Run Lover", sung by Carol Jiani was released. Denis Lepage and Sandy Wilbour are behind writing it along with Pete Bellote and Sylvester Levay who did a lot of arranging and writing for the album.
1981 is the year their debut album "Your Love" with the title track reaching #1 on the Billboard Disco chart. It was also used in the 1982 film "Summer Lovers".
1982 saw the release of Lime's second album Lime II and the release of one of their best-known hits: "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight"
In 2003, Berlin DJs, Lexy & K-Paul bootlegged Lime's hits "Guilty" and "Angel Eyes". They were from the album Lime 3 in 1983.
In 1988 Denyse and Denis divorced and Denis continued to use the Lime name.
