do you know this about the band japan?
Japan started as a glam rock alternative band and used electronic music and foreign inspiration.
The band members were all friends and school mates. Who, made their first public appearance at Karn's brother's wedding reception.
The name Japan was only supposed to be temporary.
They had nine UK Top 40 hits.
In 1982 just as the band was becoming successful, they all went separate ways.
In 1991 they reformed briefly under the name "Rain Tree Crow" and released an album.
The single "Life in Tokyo" was co-written and produced by Giorgio Moroder.
