He received fantastic success in the '80s when he got to #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Party chart twice with "Right on Target" in 1982, written and produced by Patrick Cowley, and "Shot in the Night."
Patrick Cowley produced his 1983 debut "Too Much to Dream."
Parker also interpreted Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" in 1985
He kept on in the '90s with a string of additional dance covers.
In 2007, Parker starting working with UTMOSIS, a San Francisco label, that helped produce the worldwide digital single releases "Just Hold On To Love" (2007), "Don't Stop (What You're Doin' to Me)" (2008), and "Chargin' Me Up" (2009).
The Synth-pop band Ganymede recorded the duet, "Perfect Target" with Parker in 2008. It is from the album "Operation Ganymede".
In 2013, he brought out an EP titled Superman with Harlem Nights, in classic Patrick Cowley style.
