Do You Know this about bobby o?
Bobby Orlando is one of the most prominent players in the hi-NRG genre. He did this by developing and promoting a signature sound with a powerful beat, new wave-style vocals with heavy synth-bass, synthesizers, piano, guitars, and cowbells.
He refused to accept a classical music scholarship to continue his musical interest at the time, glam rock.
In the late 70's he switched over his professional interests to disco, and soon after that, he set up his record label, "O" records.
In the 80's he made up his mark by producing, composing, and performing on hundreds of music productions that he launched under various record labels.
As a solo artist, Orlando achieved hits with tracks "She Has a Way," "I'm So Hot For You," and "How to Pick Up Girls."
He conceived his project concept, The Flirts, to further front his performance as an artist, musician, and songwriter. With a revolving list of female session singers and models, Orlando churned out hits "Passion," "Danger," and "Helpless."
His companionship with underground film star Divine culminated in classic club anthems "Native Love (Step by Step)" (featuring Orlando's voice in the chorus), "Love Reaction," and "Shoot Your Shot."
Bobby O. produced some of the Pet Shop Boys music, including the hit "West End Girls" and "One More Chance."
