YoYo Get Funky

song by Fast Eddie

Fast Eddie is the maestro who perhaps needs no introduction. He's been well known for his significant attributes to Chicago's specialty genre, "House." Fusing, mixing, and at the end creating something very spicy called "Hip-House."

Crazy Disc Jockey Fast Eddie has been considered as one of the pioneers of the field.

But the first closest version of Hip house goes back to Mc Miker G and Dj Sven's Holiday rap in 1986. However, in this piece, we encounter more of a soul-funk paired with hip-hop.

The complete turnover of the genre revolves around Fast Eddie, Beatmasters, Tyree, and more.

Fast Eddie stood out with the famous house grooves mixed with rhythmic basslines and sampled drums. These exotic features made him who he is today: "An integral part of Chicago's music scene."

His journey in the field started with collaborations with Kanny Jason. But after many small alliances, he started following his path. And in 1988, we encountered an album, "Jack the Sound." It was recorded in 1988 and originally released on the "BCM Records" immediately grabbed everyone's attention. One of the classic albums of the 80s from Chicago, which brings together house, and acid house. And over time, this album became the theme of the city's underground scene.

And that is because Fast Eddie brought some new splash to the industry. Merging acid house, hip hop, trance, and old school house into one... An unforgettable fuse of the mastermind.

"YoYo Get Funky" is one of the top tracks from "Jack the Sound." You've heard it many times in different clubs, house parties, and DJ sets. A classic track, which will never bore the audience. It's that kind of track, which will immediately make you move.

Classic craftsmanship, and well-layered two different samples: by Lyn Collins - "Woo! Yeah! And Africa Bambaata's Planet rock.

A great shake already, but Fast Eddie is bringing new fondness to the track, which transforms this perfect mingle into a great banger of the 80s.

Starting with sick samples and warning sirens as hip hop is getting close.

Some sick bass lines that highlight the verses dive us into the field. He's redefining the complete understanding of Hip-house, with some banging rhythms and a BPM of 128.

Protagonist Eddie is scoring some serious lyrics, highlighting and pushing the genre of hip-house, and nudging it towards the audience. Kind of a statement-making that the era of the Hip-House is here. And, yes, he was right.

After the 1988s, hip-house quickly became the exotic genre to follow, taking many originators into the field. Fast Eddie's tracks till this day are banging the dance floors around the world.

It's a perfect example of great sampling, sick piano key leads, drum kits, and more details still ringing and jamming worldwide.

Because of the progressive views of Fast Eddie, he's been considered to be a mentor to many "Fathers" of House Music." Like Mr. Fingers, who is the god of the house industry. We easily feel the breeze of Mr. Fingers's touch in Fast Eddie's "My Melody" and vice versa.

So, it's a definite "GO and Listen" track for everyone who enjoys the total turnover of "House."
